Work History

 

In the summer of 1975,

I was 12 years old, I got my first job making sandwiches inside the jockey locker room of LaMesa Park in Raton New Mexico.

 

1976

The next summer I had a pretty tough job in South Texas picking and stacking Crimson Sweet Watermelons. The summer couldn't go fast enough.

1977-1978

I worked in a restaurant in NewMexico as a waiter, and at a McDonald's, and then at a Sonic Drive-in in Kingsville TX in all positions from cook to car-hop.

1978

I worked for the Forest Service on a road surveyor crew in the forests of the White Mountains in Arizona near the ShowLow area. I transferred to the soil lab until school resumed in NewMexico.

1979

I worked in the county hospital renting televisions for Sylvania Corp to patients. I supervised a small crew who also did this work. I gave notice and worked at a local service station until I moved to Laredo.

1979 Fall-Winter

I worked at the Ramada Inn as a maintenance worker. I learned a great deal about maintenance and construction as the place was being remodeled.

1980 I moved to Dallas

While attending DeVry university, I began close to home at a tire dealership.I did the dirty work. I soon began to work at a liquor store making deliveries and working behind the counter. I also worked at a jewelry store until 1983.

1981

I began working part-time at UPS. while attending school and working 3 other part time jobs.

1984

I began working full time at UPS as a delivery driver

1986

I began working as a feeder driver for UPS (18 wheelers) Still currently employed in this position.

1997

Acquired a pilot's license and began aerial photography part time.

2000

Acquired EPA and TACL certifications, and began HVAC residential and commercial work part time. Still doing this.

Currently working full-time at UPS and Doing HVAC work afterwards.
